Peter Davison

Brighton-based composer Peter Davison has enjoyed success composing music for international advertising campaigns and with multiple music placements through recognised international music libraries and is a music consultant with Pebble Beach Screen Partners.

Most recently he has composed bespoke music for cricket documentary 21 Reasons and has been working with feature documentary maker Mike Book on a production about the infamous Australian band The Church.

Off screen, Peter has written for mainstream recording artists including Judie Tzuke, Folk legends The Oyster Band and the internationally acclaimed Claire Martin OBE.

As a prolific composer, arranger and orchestrator, Peter uses traditional film scoring and orchestration techniques, using the full colours and timbres available from the orchestra. He has written extensively for main stream recording artists such as the great British song writer Judie Tzuke, Folk legends The Oyster Band and the internationally acclaimed Claire Martin OBE. He has worked on projects with major record labels, such as Mercury, Sony and Island. His collaboration with Claire Martin and the Montpellier Cello Quartet saw his arrangements performed at Kings Place, the Albert Hall and Union Chapel, London. Peter has penned an arrangement of David Bowie's "Man who sold the World" for Claire's album featuring a collaboration with artists such as Joe Stilgoe, Laurence Cottle, Richard Rodney Bennett, Gareth Williams and Geoff Keezer. The album is available from LINN records. Peter writes extensively for music library and for T.V. and Film. He has tracks with various production companies, such as liftmusic.co.uk , cinephonix.com, soundvault.tv and beatbox.com, and is a consultant with Pebble Beach Screen Partners.
