New York born and raised & living in Norway since 1990, Paul Gelsomine is an accomplished composer, recording engineer / producer and multi-instrumentalist with over 30 years of experience.
He has over 400 album credits to his name ranging from major label to independent artists that have used his music, or he has recorded around the world, placed with publishing companies worldwide and enjoys collaborating with writers across the globe. This is in addition to composing instrumental production music in various style, and he has released a total of 33 studio albums of original music to date.
A 30 year recording and performing veteran, Paul leads a band called The Smoky Mountain Moonlighters.
Early on in his career, Paul relocated from New York to Nashville (1972), and he was fortunate enough to get a good start in the music business under the guidance of Shelby Singleton (Plantation Records and Sun Records) and Royce Clark (Producer for the Plantation Label) as an in-house session drummer. He has been working hard ever since and in 1990 found his way to Norway where he now resides.
From the Nashville days looking forward, he has collaborated with a wide variety of artists and clients who have used or licensed his compositions in films and numerous network and cable TV shows in USA, Canada, all over Western Europe, The Baltic, Asia, Scandinavia, Australia and South America.
Working in multiple music genres, his music has won over many top clients, such as NBC, ABC, CBS, FOX News, OWN, MTV,Bravo, BET, BBC, PBS, VH1, Biography, National Geographic, TLC, TNT, Telemundo, Comcast, E!, AMC, Food Network, Discovery Chanel, History Channel, Travel Channel, CMTV, TLC, A&E, TRE TV, RAI Italia, SVT 1, TV 2, NRK, Jong Gewild, Kika, Sport 1, Direct 8, and many more.
